Legal Disclaimers

Last updated June 9, 2026.

This website is published by Klagge Law, PLLC, doing business as StepUp Law. The responsible attorney is Kevin D. Klagge, Esq. (Fla. Bar No. 99502), with a bona fide office at 100 SE 2nd Street, Suite 3650, Miami, FL 33131.

Attorney Advertising

This website is a communication about legal services and may be considered attorney advertising under the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar.

Not Legal Advice

The information on this site, including every article, FAQ, and interactive tool, is provided for general informational purposes only and is not legal advice. Laws change and every situation is different. Do not act, or refrain from acting, based on anything here without seeking advice from a qualified attorney about your specific circumstances.

No Attorney-Client Relationship

Viewing this website, using a calculator or tool, booking or attending a free consultation, using the chat, or otherwise contacting the firm does not create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship begins only when you and the firm sign a written engagement agreement. Until then, the information you provide may not be protected by the attorney-client privilege, and a conflict of interest could prevent us from representing you.

Confidential Information and Internet Security

Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information to the firm until we have agreed in writing to represent you. Email, web forms, and chat are not secure channels, and although we work to protect the information you submit, we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet.

Jurisdiction

Kevin D. Klagge, Esq. is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida. The firm’s legal services concern Florida law and federal law, and the information on this site is intended for Florida matters and for clients with Florida ties, including residents temporarily or seasonally outside the state and out-of-state or international clients with Florida or federal-law needs. Nothing here is an offer to practice law in any jurisdiction where the firm is not licensed; where a matter involves another state’s law, the firm coordinates appropriately.

Testimonials and Endorsements

Any client testimonial, endorsement, or review that appears on this site reflects that person’s experience and is not a guarantee, warranty, or prediction about your matter. You may not obtain the same or a similar result, and testimonials are not drafted by the firm.

No Guarantees

Prior results do not guarantee or predict a similar outcome. The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based solely upon advertisements.

Fees and Costs

Flat fees described on this site cover the legal services described and are honored for at least 90 days from the date posted, unless a shorter period is stated. Government and third-party costs are additional and passed through at cost, including recording, filing, publication, certified copies, and documentary stamp taxes, as well as remote online notarization (RON) and mobile-notary signing fees where those are used. Some matters, for example asset protection, business succession, litigation, and complex estates, are quoted after a consultation. Statutory probate attorney fees under section 733.6171, Florida Statutes, are presumed reasonable but are not mandatory.

Calculators and Tools

The calculators and interactive tools on this site produce general estimates based on the information you enter and current assumptions. They are not legal, tax, or financial advice, may not reflect your full situation or later changes in the law, and are not a substitute for a consultation.
